Waterloo Region Moving to Step 3 on Friday
Waterloo Region – Waterloo Region will move to Step 3 of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen effective 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021.
“Our public health and health care indicators continue to improve or stabilize, and our vaccination rates are increasing rapidly,” said Dr. Hsiu-Li Wang, Medical Officer of Health. “Waterloo Region will advance to Step 3 along with the rest of the Province this Friday.
“Waterloo Region residents are strongly encouraged to get their second dose of vaccine as soon as they can. Delta continues to circulate widely and remains a threat in our region. We need to continue diligently practicing our public health measures and get our second dose of vaccine as soon as we can.”
Municipalities will continue to provide updated information on what the upcoming move to Step 3 means for their services.
