Three Weeks Left to Submit Nominations for the Municipal Election
Wellesley, ON – July 29, 2022 – Have you been thinking of running for office and are looking to make a difference in the Township of Wellesley? Register as a candidate for the 2022 municipal election. Wellesley Township reminds you that there is only three weeks remaining; nominations will be taken until August 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
The Township of Wellesley is currently accepting nominations for the following:
- Office of the Mayor (1 to be elected)
- Office of Ward 1 Councillor (1 to be elected)
- Office of Ward 2 Councillor (1 to be elected)
- Office of Ward 3 Councillor (1 to be elected)
- Office of Ward 4 Councillor (1 to be elected)
- Third Party Advertisers
The Region of Waterloo is also accepting nominations for the Office of Regional Chair with the same deadline.
To run for office, you must be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years old, and reside in the local municipality, or be the owner or tenant of land in the local municipality, or the spouse, of such a person, and not be prohibited from voting.
