Wellesley Township Transit Service
There is currently no transit service in Wellesley. Service is being considered in two service areas: fixed-route options along Regional Road 5 and Lobsinger Line, and on-demand service for the rural parts of Wellesley Township.
Service options for Wellesley, St. Clements, and Heidelberg (Regional Road 5 and Lobsinger Line)
A new fixed route is proposed serving Wellesley Village, St. Clements and Heidelberg. There are two options for the end point of the route.
Option 1: End at Conestoga Station in Waterloo, travelling through the St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market area.
Option 2: End at The Boardwalk Station in Kitchener/Waterloo.
Rural Wellesley Township service options
There are two on-demand zones proposed that would serve the rural areas of Wellesley Township.
On-Demand Zone 1: Northwest Wellesley/West Woolwich. An on-demand zone within northwest Wellesley and Woolwich west of Highway 85, connecting to a new fixed-route service in Wellesley Village, St. Clements, and Heidelberg; and Route 21 in St. Jacobs and Elmira, which travels to Conestoga Station.
On-Demand Zone 2: North Wilmot/Southeast Wellesley. An on-demand zone within north Wilmot and southeast Wellesley, connecting to a new fixed-route service in Wellesley Village, St. Clements, and Heidelberg; and Route 77 in Wilmot in Baden and New Hamburg, which travels to The Boardwalk.
