The Dog and Dog Kennel By-law of the Township of Wellesley requires every owner of a dog to register their dog with the Township and purchase a dog tag before the 31st day of March in each and every year or within twenty-one (21) days after the dog comes into his or her possession. Registering your dog(s) not only shows responsible pet ownership but also helps with the identification and safe return of your dog if he or she is found running at large.
Dog tags for the Township of Wellesley can be purchased in person at the Township Office and be paid for by cash, cheque or debit card. You can also complete an Application for a Dog Licence and send with payment by cheque via mail (4639 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements, ON N0B 2M0) to have the dog tag mailed to you. Please make cheques payable to Township of Wellesley.
If your dog has not previously been registered with the Township and has been spayed or neutered, please also submit a veterinary certificate confirming spay/neuter with your application and payment. If you have previously submitted proof, you are not required to resubmit.
Dog tags purchased before March 31st receive earlybird pricing.

Service Dogs |
Service dogs must also be registered annually and display a current year dog tag. Service dog tags are free, provided that proof of registration as a service dog can be provided. Please complete the Service Dog Tag Application annually and the dog tag will be mailed to you. |

Printed Registration Form
Print the Dog Tag Registration form and return it by mail to the Township Administration Office or drop it in the drop box at the Township Administration Office.
Replacement Dog Tag
If your dog had a current year dog tag that has been lost, a replacement tag is $5.00. Please complete the
Replacement Dog Tag Application and pending confirmation of a current year tag, a replacement tag will be sent to you by mail.
Online payments are by credit card only and a subject to an Online Payment Convenience Fee applied per transaction.
