SouthWestern Integrated Fibre Technology |
You are invited to participate in a brief web survey to help build “broadband for everyone” in Southwestern Ontario, Caledon and the Niagara Region. When it comes to broadband Internet, there are considerable disparities in access and capacity between our rural and urban communities. The social and economic value of high-speed connectivity is set to explode over the next ten years, and unless we act now, those disparities will only grow wider and more serious in their implications. For this reason SouthWestern Integrated Fibre Technology (SWIFT) is collecting information about how residents, farms and businesses currently use the Internet. Your participation in this 15-minute survey is completely voluntary and you may opt out of any question in the survey. All of your responses will be kept confidential. They will only be used for statistical purposes and will be reported only in aggregated form. Participants should have their Telecom Service Provider name and contract information at hand. To complete the survey, please visit www.swiftnetwork.ca/survey. |
Wellesley Pond Enhancement Project |
The Friends of Wellesley Pond include representatives from the following organizations:
The Wellesley Pond Enhancement Project is a community collaborative working towards the enhancement of aquatic biodiversity, improvement of water quality within the reservoir, naturalization of the adjacent parkland shoreline and addition of pedestrian trails. Wellesley Pond and the Albert Erb Conservation Area provide a tremendous resource for the community to reconnect with nature through recreation opportunities such as fishing, hiking, boating, and viewing nature. The area is also a community focal point to celebrate local culture and history and has been the backdrop for hosting festivals such as Art Around the Pond, the Lions Fishing Derby and the Wellesley Apple Butter & Cheese Festival. The objectives of the Wellesley Pond Enhancement Project include the following:
On Friday, May 5th, 2017 a request for quotation was issued for concept drawings for the enhancement of the Wellesley Pond on behalf of the Township of Wellesley, the Wellesley and District Lions Club and Friends of Wellesley Pond. Your support to restore our pond to a feature that we can all be proud of will be greatly appreciated!
