Voting
Voters in the Township of Wellesley will be voting by internet or telephone in the 2018 Municipal Election. Proxy voting will not be available.
Voting will be from October 9, 2018, at 10a.m. thru to October 22, 2018, at 8p.m.

Voters will need their Voter ID and PIN number to vote. This information will be included in a Voter Information Letter mailed to eligible voters in early October. If you do not receive your Voter Information Letter by October 9,2018 and believe you are an eligible voter, please contact the Township office.
Voters may log into the voting system using:
- their Voter ID and PIN number (included on the Voter Information Letter),
- their year of birth, and
- a captcha (verifying text in a picture or a sound).
Each voter must accept an oath of qualification for the system to provide their ballot. The ballot will show the race (the position you are voting for), the maximum number of selections and a list of candidates to choose from. Acclaimed Candidates (where a candidate is the only one in a race) are not on the ballot but will be identified on the Voter Information Letter. You cannot vote for more than the maximum number but you can cast a blank ballot or cast a ballot where one or more races are blank.
Voter Assistance
The Township of Wellesley Voter Help Centre will be located at the Administration Office for voters to check their information on the Voters' List, to vote, to ask questions or for other elections.

To assist voters, the Township will provide a Voter Help Line which voters can call to check if you are on the Voters' List or ask any questions about the election or voting process. Changing information on the Voters' List or issuing a new Voter Information Letter must be done in person at the Municipal Office.
Voting Help Centre Hours and Location
To assist voters, the Township will offer election assistance at the Help Centre located at the Township Administration Office, 4639 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements. Voting can be done at home and voters are not required to go to a Help Centre to vote if they do not need assistance.

Are you on the list to vote for the upcoming municipal and school board elections?
If you are a resident of the Township of Wellesley or an owner or tenant of property within the Township it is your responsibility to ensure you are registered on the voters list, to chek with the Township complete the Voter List Look-up form. Updating this information will help to ensure that Voters’ List is accurate and up-to-date in preparation for municipal and school board elections occurring this October.
To amend your information on the voters list please visit the Township Administration office with to complete an application, please note two peices of photo ID are required to complete the form.
Voting Security
The Township of Wellesley will never call or email you asking for your login or PIN.
To ensure secrecy, confidentiality and privacy while voting, please:
- ensure no one else is listening on the same phone line while voting,
- do not use public WiFi if you are unfamiliar with the security settings.
Internet and Telephone Voting
On April 25th, 2017, the Council of the Township of Wellesley passed a motion to proceed with an alternate voting method. The report proposing the Internet and Telephone Voting method was taken to the Committee of the Whole meeting held on Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 and ratified through the minutes of the April 25th, 2017 Council meeting.
The internet voting method has been available to municipalities for more than 10 years and allows the elector to access the voting process from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, for as long as the voting period is open. Telephone voting is comparable to telephone banking and is like internet voting but, electors make their selections by touchtone phone. Telephone voting is not compatible with rotary phones.
