The permit holder is responsible for contacting the Building department when the work is ready for inspection.

Booking an Inspection

Required information when calling in and booking an inspection

• Permit number
• Street address of construction
• Type of inspection
• Contact name
• Contact phone number

Upon completion of the inspection the inspector will notify you of any infractions found and how to proceed.

Inspections (no permit issued)

We must be notified for an inspection of the following:

• Fire damage
• Vacant building
• Unsafe building
• Construction without a permit

Inspections (permit issued)  

The building permit lists the inspection(s) required for the project and can include the following

Structures

• Footings
• Rebar
• Backfill
• Service connection
• Framing
• Plumbing
• Insulation
• HVAC systems
• Fire separation
• Air barrier
• Final plumbing
• Occupancy
• Final
• Other inspections can be required

Septic systems

• Site
• Excavation
• Tank
• Bed
