Budget and Finance

The Finance Department manages all the accounting functions for the Township of Wellesley. This includes payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and money management. The Finance Department is also responsible for management of the annual financial planning processes including the Current and Capital Budgets and regular financial reporting.

The Municipal Budget is prepared yearly to determine the Operating and Capital requirements for the year. This information is used to calculate your yearly taxes.

Finance staff report to Council monthly regarding the income and expenses of the Township as compared to the budgeted amounts.

At the end of each year Financial Statements are prepared and sent to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH).
