Transportation and Mobility Master Plan Notice of Master Plan
The Township of Wellesley has recently completed the development of a comprehensive Transportation and Mobility Master Plan (TMMP) designed to address the Township’s transportation and mobility needs over the next 25 years. The TMMP was completed in accordance with Approach 1 of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (as amended in February 2024) for Master Plans, which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
The TMMP identifies a suite of mobility opportunities, including intersection improvements, cycling and walking facilities and other infrastructure and services required to promote a complete, low-carbon, and climate-resilient community. The plan also advances strategies, policies and programs to manage ongoing travel demand, accommodate anticipated growth, and enhance safety for all road users, while expanding multimodal connectivity within Wellesley and to adjacent communities.
The TMMP builds on previous work and strategic planning undertaken by the Township, including the Township’s Asset Management Plan (2025), Community Improvement Plan (2025), and the Recreation Master Plan (2024). Work on the TMMP was complete in conjunction with work on Township of Wellesley’s updated Official Plan (2026).
The TMMP is available for a 30-day public review period beginning June 3, 2026. The Plan can be accessed below.
