Refunds:
We will gladly issue a refund or transfer for bookings if applicable.
The following cancellation fees may apply for a cancelled rental:
If cancellation is due to inclement weather, please email or call the office on the next business to so the weather can be confirmed and a refund can be issued.
If rental is rebooked at time of cancellation and is outside of a certain time period, cancellation fees may be waived.
Ice rental cancelled over 15 days and NOT paid in advance: No cancellation fee
Ice rental cancelled over 15 days and paid in advance: $25.00
Ice rental cancelled under 14 days up to 73 hours and paid in full: $100.00
Ice rental within 72 hours: No refund. The Township retains full rate of contract.
Ball diamond rentals cancelled under 72 hours: No refund. The Township retains full rate of contract.
Ball diamond rentals over 72 hours and paid in full: $25.00
Ball diamond rental over 72 hours and not paid in full: No Charge
Pavilion/Picnic Shelter rentals over 72 hours and paid in full: $25.00
Pavilion/Picnic Shelter rentals over 72 hours and not paid in full: no charge
Community centers over 30 days and not paid in full: No charge
Community centers over 30 days and paid in full: $25.00
Community centers cancelled under 30 days: 50% of base rental rate; all other fees will be refunded
Meeting Room rentals or Gymnasium recreational rentals under 5 business days: $25.00
Special circumstances may be considered by the Director of Recreation and may require supporting documentation.
Late payments:
As of January 1, 2026, all late payments will start to accrue interest of 1.25% 31 days after the payment due date. These charges will not be reversed. If you know your payment will be late, it is your responsibility to contact the Recreation Department to make arrangements with Michelle mlamontagne@wellesley.ca
