Our winter lineup is filled with opportunities for all ages and interests—whether you're looking for friendly competition on the court, warming movement in a yoga class, or a creative outlet in one of our workshops.

Fitness Classes

This chair yoga+ is a practice made up of gentle exercises and stretches that will increase strength, flexibility, balance and body awareness. The class will provide a safe environment for everyone, while letting each person participate at their own pace and comfort level. All exercises/poses can be done while sitting on a chair or using a chair for balance. In addition, sitting or lying on the mat will be an option available.

Gentle yoga for seniors is a slow-paced, low-intensity practice designed to improve flexibility, balance, and strength Poses will require sitting, standing, kneeling or lying on a mat, but will be modified when appropriate with blocks or chairs to make them accessible and safe for everyone.

Rediscover the joy of movement in this 4-week stretching program for all fitness levels! Each week focuses on a different area of the body to improve mobility, reduce stiffness, and enhance body awareness. Learn safe, effective techniques to release tension and move with greater ease in daily life.

This class is good for all ability levels. There will be many alternatives provided in order to find the right amount of challenge from beginner to intermediate. This class will be a moderately paced Hatha class which means we will take time to come to our edge in a particular pose, focus on breath work and mindfulness, hold briefly for a good stretch then move on. Everyone welcome! We are offering this class t two different times to help accommodate family schedules.

Full Body Blast Bootcamp is a high-energy, full-body workout designed to build strength, boost endurance, and improve overall fitness. Each class includes a dynamic warm-up, a challenging full-body circuit, and a mobility-focused cool-down. You’ll use a mix of weights, mats, and bodyweight movements — all easily adaptable to any fitness level, making it beginner-friendly and completely customizable.

This mat-based Pilates class is designed to strengthen your core, improve flexibility, enhance balance, and deepen overall body awareness. Through controlled, intentional movements, you’ll lengthen and tone your muscles while building strength and increasing your range of motion. Expect a full-body workout that leaves you feeling strong, centered, and refreshed. All fitness levels welcome!

Mat Pilates + Weights is a low-impact exercise program that focuses on strengthening the deep core muscles to improve posture, flexibility, and spine health. The light weights (2–3 lbs) bring an additional challenge to each movement. This class is recommended for those with Pilates experience who are comfortable with the foundations.

This Bootcamp is a full-body workout designed to improve your long-term health, strength, and fitness. Each session will take you through a dynamic warm-up, full-body workout, and a flexibility-focused cool-down. Classes incorporate movements using weights, mats, and bodyweight exercises - all easily adaptable to any fitness level, making it perfect for beginners.

New to line dancing? No problem! The first 30 minutes (6:30–7:00 PM) is just for new dancers—learn the basic steps in a relaxed, supportive setting. Then stick around for the full beginner-level class from 7:00–8:00 PM, where you'll dance to a fun mix of upbeat music—not just country! From classic favorites to pop and easy-listening hits, this class is all about great music and great energy.

Zumba is a fun dance-based interval workout that helps you de-stress while enjoying music. The lasses move between high and low-intensity dance moves designed to get your heart rate up and boost cardio endurance. Zumba targets many different muscle groups at once for total body toning!

Community Workshops

Introduction to Sewing (3 weeks)

Build on your basic sewing skills in this three-week class designed for those with beginner experience. Learn troubleshooting tips, explore stitch types and presser feet, and gain confidence reading patterns through guided mini-projects.

Sewing club: Quilted Creation (6 weeks)

Ready for your next big project? In this class , you’ll create a beautiful strip-style quilt — a fun twist on the rag quilt! Learn to cut and piece fabric strips, layer and quilt, and finish with a clean edge. You’ll build confidence using your machine for longer seams, straight stitching, and basic quilting techniques. A cozy, creative project you’ll be proud to take home!

Sewing Club: Make & Take (4 weeks)

Step into Spring with a fresh, custom-painted doormat! Join Crafty Crystal for a fun and creative Spring Doormat Painting Workshop. No experience needed - we'll guide you every step of the way. Doormats will come ready to paint with the stencils already pre-applied. Each participant will get to choose 1-3 paint colours. All supplies are included and you'll head home with a one-of-a-kind doormat ready to brighten your doorstep this Spring. You will get to choose from 4 options!

We’re kicking off the evening with a moonshine tasting from Murphy’s Law Distillery, featuring a selection of their handcrafted local spirits. Then, roll up your sleeves for a fun and interactive charcuterie-crafting session where you’ll learn how to build a beautiful and delicious board on your own. It’s the perfect blend of flavour, fun, and local flair — a great night out for anyone looking to enjoy a hands-on culinary experience!

Join us for a relaxed and flavour-filled evening featuring local cheeses prepared by Board by Brie, paired with a bottle of wine from Perth Farmhouse.

Learn simple tips for building a beautiful and delicious cheese board while enjoying great conversation and a cozy atmosphere. Each participant will receive their own cheese-board kit and will select their own preferred bottle of wine during registration. Come on your own or with friends — it’s the perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s week, unwind, and enjoy some local flavours.

Looking to stay active, meet new people, and have some fun? Join us for drop-in sports at the Bill Gies Recreation Centre! Whether you’re into pickleball, basketball, volleyball, or just want to get moving, our drop-in programs are a great way to play without the commitment of a full season.

Skating in the Township of Wellesley

Join us for one of Wellesley’s favorite traditions! Sunday Public Skates run from 12:00pm–1:30pm at both the:

*NEW: Friday Public Skate 11:00am-12:00pm - Bill Gies Recreation Centre. 

Bill Gies Recreation Centre

  • $2.00 (HST Included). Payments can be made at the Front Desk. 

St. Clements Arena

  • Free! Thanks to the Paradise and District Lions Club generous donation.

These skates have become a cherished part of our community, offering families, friends, and neighbors the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon together on the ice.

All participants are strongly encouraged to wear CSA-certified approved hockey helmet. 

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age and older; at no time should parents/guardians be leaving minors unattended.

Pre-registration on Pickup Hub is no longer needed.

We’re excited to share that, in collaboration with Community Care Concepts, we’re offering free Senior Skates this year at both the Bill Gies Arena and the St. Clements Arena! Come out, stay active, and enjoy some time on the ice with friends and neighbours — all at no cost.

Bring your little one ages six and under for a skate! "Tots" must be 6 years of age or younger.

Parents must wear skates and be on the ice with their children.

Strollers and/or Sating Aids are allowed.

The ratio on the ice must be 1 adult to every 3 children.

Cost is $2 per person. Rates apply to both parents and guardians.

Payments can be made at the Front Desk. 

Cost per participant: $2 

For your safety CSA approved helmets are highly recommended and we do not allow sticks and pucks or organized hockey games and scrimmages on the ice. 

Bill Gies Recreation Centre: Thursday's 1pm-2pm

St. Clements Arena: Friday's 1pm-2pm

Sticks and Pucks is where parents and guardians can help kids practice hockey skills in a relaxed setting:

  • bring your skates, sticks and pucks
  • game play is allowed
  • nets are available for use
  • a skating adult must be present
  • the ratio on the ice must be 1 adult to every 4 children

Everyone must wear CSA-approved safety equipment on the ice, including head, eye, facial protection and gloves.
