Our spring lineup is filled with opportunities for all ages and interests—whether you're looking for some friendly competition on the court, a refreshing stretch in a yoga class, or a chance to get creative in one of our hands-on workshops.

Fitness Classes

Improve flexibility, reduce stiffness, and move with greater ease in this gentle, full-body mobility class. Through guided stretching, mindful breathing, and functional movement, you’ll build better range of motion and feel more comfortable in your everyday activities. Suitable for all fitness levels.

This class is good for all ability levels. There will be many alternatives provided in order to find the right amount of challenge from beginner to intermediate. This class will be a moderately paced Hatha class which means we will take time to come to our edge in a particular pose, focus on breath work and mindfulness, hold briefly for a good stretch then move on. Everyone welcome!

Full Body Blast Bootcamp is a high-energy, full-body workout designed to build strength, boost endurance, and improve overall fitness. Each class includes a dynamic warm-up, a challenging full-body circuit, and a mobility-focused cool-down. You’ll use a mix of weights, mats, and bodyweight movements — all easily adaptable to any fitness level, making it beginner-friendly and completely customizable.

This mat-based Pilates class is designed to strengthen your core, improve flexibility, enhance balance, and deepen overall body awareness. Through controlled, intentional movements, you’ll lengthen and tone your muscles while building strength and increasing your range of motion. Expect a full-body workout that leaves you feeling strong, centered, and refreshed. All fitness levels welcome!

Pilates by Emma is a low-impact exercise program that focuses on strengthening the deep core muscles to improve posture, flexibility, and spine health. The light weights (2–3 lbs) bring an additional challenge to each movement. This class is recommended for those with Pilates experience who are comfortable with the foundations.

This Bootcamp is a full-body workout designed to improve your long-term health, strength, and fitness. Each session will take you through a dynamic warm-up, full-body workout, and a flexibility-focused cool-down. Classes incorporate movements using weights, mats, and bodyweight exercises - all easily adaptable to any fitness level, making it perfect for beginners.

Linwood
New to line dancing? No problem! The first 30 minutes (6:30–7:00 PM) is just for new dancers—learn the basic steps in a relaxed, supportive setting. Then stick around for the full beginner-level class from 7:00–8:00 PM, where you'll dance to a fun mix of upbeat music—not just country! From classic favorites to pop and easy-listening hits, this class is all about great music and great energy.

Dance Sculpt is a high-intensity fusion of Zumba and strength training. In this full-body workout, you’ll alternate between upbeat dance tracks and targeted strength intervals to keep your heart pumping and your muscles engaged. Strengthen, sweat, and sculpt while enhancing your balance, coordination, and overall conditioning.

Summer Creation (4 weeks)
Get ready for summer with this fun, hands-on sewing class! Over four weeks, participants will create a series of practical summer essentials while learning useful sewing skills along the way. Projects may include items like tote bags, accessories, or other handy pieces perfect for the season.
Participants will practice cutting fabric, assembling pieces, and using a sewing machine to complete each project from start to finish. This class is great for beginners or anyone looking to build confidence with their sewing machine in a relaxed and creative environment.

Family Name Sign Making Workshop
Get cozy and creative this season at Crafty Crystal's Winter 3D Sign Painting Workshop! Together we will paint, assemble, and glue our beautiful projects together. No experience needed - we'll guide you step-by-step! All supplies are included, and you'll leave with a finished piece you'll be proud to show off. You get to choose from 4 different options!

Step into Spring with a fresh, custom-painted doormat! Join Crafty Crystal for a fun and creative Spring Doormat Painting Workshop. No experience needed - we'll guide you every step of the way. Doormats will come ready to paint with the stencils already pre-applied. Each participant will get to choose 1-3 paint colours. All supplies are included and you'll head home with a one-of-a-kind doormat ready to brighten your doorstep this Spring. You will get to choose from 4 options!

The Canada Safety Council Home Alone course is designed to teach children crucial skills to keep them safe when they are home alone without parental/guardian supervision.
*Participants must be at least 9y 6m but less than 13y 11m

The Canada Safety Council Babysitters course is designed to teach youth how to be successful babysitters. They will learn about child development, basic first aid, and handling situations.
Topics include:
- Caring for children from three months to school ages
- The behavior and misbehavior of children
- Handling emergencies
- Caring for a sick or injured child
- Prevention and basic first aid

Refunds & Transfers Policy
Program and Workshop Transfers & Refunds
We will gladly issue a refund for 100% of the cost of the activity charged to you provided the activity withdrawal request is received up to and including 5 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR to the activity start date.
If after attending the first class you decide a program is not right for you, we are happy to issue a pro-rated refund. This request must be made at least a day prior to the start of the second class. Refunds will be subject to an administrative fee of 10% to up to $25.00. If you wish to leave funds on your account, there will be no administrative fee and credit will stay on file for 36 months.
Missed classes, outside of facility closures due to weather or instructor cancellations, will NOT be refunded or credited to account.
Refunds or credits will not be issued for withdrawal after the second class. Special circumstances may be considered by the Director of Recreation and may require supporting documentation.

Looking to stay active, meet new people, and have some fun? Join us for drop-in sports at the Bill Gies Recreation Centre! Whether you’re into pickleball, basketball, volleyball, or just want to get moving, our drop-in programs are a great way to play without the commitment of a full season. Public Skates Begin Sunday, October 5th!
Skating in the Township of Wellesley
Join us for one of Wellesley’s favorite traditions! Sunday Public Skates run from 12:00pm–1:30pm at both the:

- Free! Thanks to the Paradise and District Lions Club generous donation.
These skates have become a cherished part of our community, offering families, friends, and neighbors the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon together on the ice.
All participants are strongly encouraged to wear CSA-certified approved hockey helmet.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age and older; at no time should parents/guardians be leaving minors unattended.
Pre-registration on Pickup Hub is no longer needed.
We’re excited to share that, in collaboration with Community Care Concepts, we’re offering free Senior Skates this year at both the Bill Gies Arena and the St. Clements Arena! Come out, stay active, and enjoy some time on the ice with friends and neighbours — all at no cost.

Bring your little one ages six and under for a skate! "Tots" must be 6 years of age or younger.
Parents must wear skates and be on the ice with their children.
Strollers and/or Sating Aids are allowed.
The ratio on the ice must be 1 adult to every 3 children.
Cost is $2 per person. Rates apply to both parents and guardians.
Payments can be made at the Front Desk.
Cost per participant: $2
For your safety CSA approved helmets are highly recommended and we do not allow sticks and pucks or organized hockey games and scrimmages on the ice.

Sticks and Pucks is where parents and guardians can help kids practice hockey skills in a relaxed setting:
- bring your skates, sticks and pucks
- game play is allowed
- nets are available for use
- a skating adult must be present
- the ratio on the ice must be 1 adult to every 4 children
Everyone must wear CSA-approved safety equipment on the ice, including head, eye, facial protection and gloves.
